Description
Roadmap to Early Childhood Assessments: An Equitable Approach is an interactive session designed to support school psychologists in conducting early childhood assessments that are culturally responsive, collaborative, and family-centered. Participants will examine the role of cultural competence in early childhood evaluation practices, explore effective strategies for partnering with Part C Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) providers, and engage in approaches that intentionally center parent voice throughout the assessment process. Through guided discussion and applied examples, this session offers a practical roadmap for building equitable, developmentally appropriate assessment systems that strengthen family–school partnerships and improve outcomes for our tiniest learners.
