MSPA 2022 Midwinter Conference
January 27th - 28th, 2022
Centering Our Students in Practice
This year's conference is focused on Centering Students in Practice as we reframe the way we collect data to support our students and their families. We are excited to bring our first ever HYBRID conference where attendees will have the chance to join virtually or in person at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Plymouth. Two presentations during each session time will be live-streamed from the hotel for virtual attendees. These same sessions will also be recorded and accessible until March 1, 2022 for those who registered.
By participating each full day in sessions, you can earn up to 6 CEUs, with a total of 12 CEUs over the two day conference. Plus, all registrants will have access to recorded sessions from the Regency Room and Room E, where they can earn additional CEUs. More information to come soon regarding the CEU process for recorded sessions.

*Please note that recordings will be shared for the days you register. For example, if you register for Jan. 27th, you will receive only the recordings for that day at the end of the conference.
MSPA will randomly select 5 people who register (in-person or virtually) by 5pm on December 17th to pick out a free book from Kao Kalia Yang or materials from Dr. Byron McClure!
***PLEASE READ CAREFULLY***
Proof of Vaccination or Negative COVID Test
MSPA will be requiring either proof of a full course of COVID-19 vaccination (1st and 2nd dose of Moderna/Pfizer or single dose of the Johnson & Johnson) or proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the prior 72 hours. MSPA is not requiring proof of booster shots for this conference. Taking these steps ensures the safety of our attendees, speakers, and our communities across the state. MSPA is aware that gathering educators from across the state means that upon returning to our communities, there is an inherent risk in transmission. As educators, many of us may be working with staff or students that are not vaccinated. Considering our NASP Ethics Principles, MSPA agrees that “school psychologists have a legal as well as an ethical obligation to take steps to protect all students from reasonably foreseeable risk of harm” (National Association of School Psychologists Principles for Professional Ethics 2020, page 9).
Following MDH recommendations, MSPA is mandating the use of a mask that full covers the mouth and nose while attending the conference, except while eating. Masks will be provided upon entry for those who do not have one. Meals
All in-person registrants will include breakfast, lunch, and snacks each day. Meals will be server attended, and there will be plenty of space to social distance during meals.
