The Restorative Practices in Schools and Communities Trainings

June 15-26, 2020 in Bemidji, Cloquet and Crystal

Registration is now open!

The Minnesota Department of Education School Climate Center is offering two weeks of Restorative Practices training in three locations in Minnesota: Crystal, Cloquet and Bemidji. Restorative Practices are approaches based in Indigenous knowledge that schools can use to improve school climate, encourage youth voice and as an alternative to exclusionary discipline. The trainings are open to anyone who works with youth, in or out of schools. Schools are encouraged to send a team to the trainings. Individuals are welcome.

There are sessions for people who are just beginning their exploration of restorative practices as well as sessions to help experienced practitioners hone their practice and deepen their knowledge. For more information, below are the links:

For guidance on what sessions to attend, refer to Frequently Asked Questions on Restorative Practices in Schools and Communities June Trainings.

Please feel free to contact Nancy Riestenberg if you have questions about these events.
